Leah refused to renounce her faith. She paid the price: with her freedom.
She was one of 110 girls abducted from their school in Dapchi, Nigeria by the Boko Haram offshoot ISWAP in February 2018. The next month, following negotiations by the government, the remaining girls were put into trucks to go home. But Leah wasn’t among them. She wasn’t released because she refused to convert in exchange for her freedom.
We need to keep up the pressure until Leah is free. Please add your name to the petition today:
“To the Nigerian Ambassador to the US. Please do all you can to secure the release of 18 year old Leah Sharibu, held captive since February 2018.”
